First Dental Appointment FAQ's
When you book your first visit to our dental office in Norwood Village, our team will send you Patient Registration Forms. Please complete and bring a Registration Form for each family member with an appointment.
Also, bring along a list of any medications and doses you take.
If you have dental insurance, please bring your card and breakdown booklet (if you have it).
Finally, please bring your preferred method of payment.
Please arrive 10 minutes early so that we can register you. See you soon!
For the first dental exam for children aged 2-9, they will have their first oral exam and x-rays taken. We will let mom and dad know if there are any areas of concern.
We will also perform your child’s first dental cleaning during this visit. The total appointment will eb approximately 40 minutes long.
Our warm and welcoming team of dental hygienists and family dentists in Norwood will perform a complete dental exam including x-rays, oral photos, periodontal (gum) measurements, oral cancer screening and medical history. The initial exam is completed in one hour.
At the end of the exam, the dentist will prescribe a dental cleaning schedule for you, based on your gum health.
Healthy gums only require a dental cleaning every 6 months.
Gum disease requires some initial therapy, followed by dental cleaning every 3 or 4 months.

Most plans allow for direct billing, in which case, you will only pay your co-pay portion on the day of your care.
